3D Product Animation Services

3D product animation services for products that need explaining: how-it-works demos, exploded and assembly views and machinery in motion, built from your CAD files for websites, sales meetings and trade shows.

Show how it works.

Technical product animation built from your CAD files: 3D product demo videos, exploded and assembly views, and machinery and medical device animation.

You are probably here because

  • Your product's value is inside it, and photographs only show the outside.
  • Sales calls lose time explaining how the product works.
  • A trade show is coming and the machine is too large, or too early, to bring.
  • The product is still in development, but launch material is already due.

What we animate.

  • How-it-works demos

A product followed through its use, step by step: a 3D product demo video for site, deck and campaign.

  • Exploded and assembly views

Components separating and assembling in sequence, so buyers see how the parts fit.

  • Machinery and mechanisms

Mechanical and machinery 3D animation for equipment too large, fast or enclosed to film.

  • Medical devices

Devices shown at the accuracy clinicians expect, built from manufacturer files.

From CAD to final cut

Most product animation starts with the CAD or STEP files your engineers already have. We prepare the model, add materials and lighting, and plan the sequence shot by shot before final frames are produced.

The model is kept after delivery, so technical product animation is often the first use of an asset that later produces renders, a configurator or the next film.

What you actually get

Every engagement ends with these in your hands, owned outright.

  • A master animation at the resolution your channels need
  • Cutdowns for social, paid media and sales decks
  • Silent loops for websites and trade-show screens
  • Captioned and uncaptioned versions
  • Still frames for print and web
  • The prepared 3D model, kept for renders and future films

How we work

  1. Phase 01

    Define the job

Each piece starts with the outcome it has to support: trust, clarity or a sale.

  2. Phase 02

    Previs

Shots, motion and story are blocked out and approved before final rendering.

  3. Phase 03

    Produce

Final rendering, lighting, pacing and edit, checked against your product specification.

  4. Phase 04

    Deploy

Delivered in every size and format your channels need, with the source files kept for reuse.

What product animation costs

Length matters less than the number of distinct shots and how complex the motion is. Model preparation is the front-loaded cost, so if renders already exist the animation costs less, and a 3D explainer animation for products in one range can share a scene.

Questions, answered

How much does 3D product animation cost?

It depends on the number of shots, the complexity of the motion and whether a usable 3D model exists. A short demo from clean CAD costs far less than a long sequence modelled from photographs. We scope shot by shot and quote before production.

Can you animate from our CAD or STEP files?

Yes, and that is the usual starting point. CAD and STEP files give accurate geometry, which we prepare for rendering and add materials to. Without files, we model from drawings and photographs, which takes longer.

How long does a product animation take?

Most of the time goes into preparing the model and agreeing the storyboard; once the shots are approved, production is predictable. We set the schedule, including review rounds, after first reviewing your files.

Animation or live-action video?

Choose animation when the important part is inside the product, does not exist yet, or moves too fast to film. Choose live action when people and settings carry the message. Many launches use both.

Can we reuse the model for renders and a configurator?

Yes. The prepared model is kept and handed over, so it can produce renders, a 360° viewer, a configurator and later films. Each new format starts from work already done, which is the main reason to build a product in 3D.
